It was very important for me, even in our humble beginnings, to ensure Geonetric had a unique work environment. One that challenged employees. One that invested in employees. One that rewarded employees. I needed this culture established to help attract and retain the best employees, so we could build the best product and provide the best service.
As Geonetric grew, sometimes by dramatic numbers, it’s been important to find employees that possess the same spirit and drive that has come to define us. I think we’ve done an amazing job. We offer a lot of free stuff – like cereal and soda. We offer a lot of fun stuff – like launch parties and euchre tournaments. But when it comes down to it, those things don’t make a culture. They aren’t even what attracts and retains our employees. They’re a great benefit of course, and certainly no one is complaining as they eat Lucky Charms and drink Diet Dew. But what people really appreciate is that we believe in them. We listen to them. We act on what they say. They have real ownership in what we are doing here. There are no name tags, no one here feels like a number.
This recent award from Modern Healthcare naming us one of the best places to work in the healthcare industry is a testament to what we set out years ago to create, and proof we’re doing it right.
