Top Ten, Baby

When we applied for Modern Healthcare’s top 100 places to work in the healthcare industry award, we didn’t know what to expect.  But since we’d received local recognition, being named one of the Best Place to Work in the Corridor, we thought why not?!

There was quite a bit of paperwork to fill out and all of our employees had to take an in-depth survey. But overall it was painless and gave us an opportunity to brag about all of the things we do that makes us “Geonetric.”

Back in September Modern Healthcare announced the winners, and we were in the Top 100. We were excited to make the list and eager to find out where we placed.  Yesterday the results were revealed and Geonetric was named the 10th overall best place to work in the healthcare industry.  The entire industry. Nationally.

My goal is to lead a company of amazing talent that does great work for our clients.  To attract and retain this team I need to create – and sustain – an amazing culture.  Winning an award like this confirms that we’re doing the right things and our clients are receiving the best service from the smartest team in the industry.

In addition to the workplace awards, we’ve had the best overall third quarter in company history.  Every client scheduled for renewals last quarter extended their partnerships with us, which is really a testament to our ability to deliver on promises.  We signed four new contracts in third quarter, our annual eHealth Symposium was a smashing hit, and we made the Inc. 5000 list again.

We just had signed our first new client of the fourth quarter, which will be announced soon, and then this awesome award from Modern Healthcare. The fourth quarter is off to a great start too.

About Eric Engelmann

Eric gets people excited. About healthcare. About technology. About Geonetric. It only takes a few moments of being in his presence to feel his passion and see his vision. A healthcare reform junkie, Eric can usually be found uncovering new ways to show healthcare executives how to leverage technology investments and develop patient portals that will improve care delivery. After earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa, he began his career in technology, founding Geonetric and never looking back. Through his leadership, Geonetric continuously receives honors and recognitions, including being named a Best Place to Work by Modern Healthcare, Software Company of the Year by the Technology Association of Iowa, and an Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company for five years running. When he’s not sharing his vision for the future of healthcare or accepting awards on behalf of his company, he can be found having lunch with his daughter at a local elementary school or donning lederhosen and entertaining his team at the Annual Engelmann Oktoberfest.
