After what seems like a full day on airplanes that began with a bleary-eyed drive to a 5:45 AM flight, I’m now at the 2008 Healthcare Strategy Institute Internet Conference in Orlando. Of the many conferences and tradeshows that I frequent during the year, none is so exclusively focused on the space in which we operate as the HSI Internet show.
Traditionally, this has been a great show for us to participate in and this year is no different. We’ve got a wonderful new booth that sports an “in your face” quality that particularly appeals to me (kudos to Tracy and the rest of the marketing team – it’s fab!). And I’m speaking again this year! This time around, my presentation is in collaboration with Ken Croken, Vice President of Marketing at Genesis Health System about the exciting things that we’re getting into in the Patient Portal space.
One new addition to our time at the conference this year is that we’ll be live blogging the event. During sessions, Eric, Matt, Linda and I will be sharing any blog-worthy thoughts that come out of the sessions here. It should be a neat way to share our experiences here and will force me to take better notes!
So check in regularly with the Geovoices blog as we should be putting up a lot of information over the next few days.
Quick rant – It’s an Internet conference. There are no printed handouts, only electronic.
So why are there two outlets for 430 people??!?
Comments from yesterday delayed as a result…
Matt’s actually microblogging the conference through Twitter. His posts are flagged with a #HSI tag.
