Cottage Health Launches Responsive Website for Growing Health System

Cottage Health has so much to offer its patients. Four hospitals and multiple clinics, all located in stunning southern California, provide a wide range of services to its varying audiences in the region.

But they were stuck in a design that wasn’t meeting the needs of their growing mobile audience. Not to mention, trying to represent the four hospitals equally was difficult without using the same or similar content, which we all know can hurt search engine optimization efforts.

Then Cottage Health partnered with Geonetric and beautiful things happened.

Time for a Change

It was time to wipe the slate clean. It was time to represent their health system holistically. It was time to take on a new brand, a new color palette, a new benefit-focused content effort and a whole new Web design.

Some highlights of the new site include:

  • New and improved content: With a content inventory that reflected both the health system and individual hospitals, much of the content mirrored each other in messaging and service offerings. With Geonetric’s content strategists and writers, Cottage Health was able to zero in on problematic content, condense synonymous messaging, and hone in on developing content for select service lines that provides a more user-centric, benefit-rich focus.
  • Comprehensive health information: Cottage Health also invested in a Healthwise health library, saving page inventory without losing the ability to offer users a comprehensive look at conditions and care.
  • Integrated form submissions with CRM: The organization is also in the process of ensuring their new Web presence and their CRM software are working together to track conversions.

Rebranding for the Future

While not changing their organization’s focus, Cottage Health did go through a rebranding effort, getting a new logo and new color palette. Moving away from the desert beige of their previous site, Cottage Health upgraded to a unique, vibrant color scheme that reflects their beautiful coastal region, while also adapting a flat design that works responsively on all devices.
